Introduction
The distance is a scalar quantity that has magnitude only but no direction. It’s how much an object has moved. It’s how much an object can move, for instance, a cyclist covered 4km from home to church. Displacement, on the other hand, is a vector quantity meaning that it has both magnitude and direction. It is, therefore, how much an object has moved from an original position.

Procedure
Step 1: The Initial spot was marked clearly, and the rest of the movements and directions were kept on track.
Step 2: Personal movements in the house were constantly checked after every half an hour and recorded in tables as results. The last position was recorded, and the difference between the last point and the original position was recorded as well.
Step 3: The procedure was repeated until five motions around the house were completed.
Step 4: By the end of the day, the rope was collected, and the length was measured as the total distance traveled. The length measured represented how much distance I traveled. In this case, the final position was recorded.

Explanation
Results obtained show the difference in displacement and distance under 5 hours. The distance is obtained by summing all the paths covered in the house every 30 minutes. Distance, in this case, did not take into consideration the direction of movement. Some movements were to and fro, and thus that didn’t matter in determining the distance covered. The distance, on the other hand, was my overall change in position around the house; for instance, it can be obtained by the difference between the final position and the original position. Displacement value can or cannot be zero. The motions that are to and fro account to the displacement of a body to be zero.
The distance-time graph is a line graph that shows the interval distances moved or paths. The displacement – time graph shows the total displacement between the end positions at each path.
Conclusion
The practical was successful, but there were measurement errors due to inconsistent movements. In this experiment, a rope was used, and it was suitable for the experiment. A measuring tape would be preferably suitable for precise results because it seems easier to use and accurate as well.
