It is a popular beverage that gives us the needed energy to make it through the day. I have been working as a coffee shop manager, and I love my job. First and foremost, working in a coffee shop is fun, especially if you like talking to people and enjoy meeting new people. I believe it is crucial to network with people, which is the primary reason I believe this has been my best job so far.
As a coffee shop manager, I work with many people who have been significant to my career journey. I have obligations like school, and this job makes everything easier. I can juggle school and work obligations.
I believe for the success of a company, employees are vital. We have been working as a team and organizing coffee events where we can meet cool people who have been significant in my career journey. Working as a team has created more returning clients, which makes the coffee shop grow every day. Effective teamwork has proven to be a critical factor in enhancing the business process’s efficiency due to good organizational performance. Collaboration also helps in formulating new ideas and also solving problems that existed earlier. Therefore, working as a team supports business growth and makes my work more enjoyable since most workers have been very cooperative.
As a manager, my job has been challenging and comfortable as well. What I love the most about this job is that the staff has been very cooperative. I have learned how to handle conflicts between the customers and the clients through this job. For future crises within the coffee shop, I have formed a small group of people that could address the concern that arises within the business. Organizations are also at risk of facing problems that need urgent attention. Instead of waiting until such a situation happens, setting up trained teams to handle emergencies is necessary (Skripak, 2016). The crisis management group of workers collect information in response to any crisis in the shop. Doing this helps the business reputation be intact and gain more customers due to how problems are handled efficiently.
I would replicate my managerial skills in any job I get after this since I know it has helped me grow more. The leadership skills I have acquired while working in the coffee shop has significantly boosted my career. According to Skripak (2016), Successful business performance would involve sound and robust management: the process of planning, coordinating, managing, and regulating resources to achieve clear objectives. And those are the kind of skills that have made me grow personally and professionally.
I believe the study of organizational behaviors is essential. It is done through setting goals, improvement of the workplace, and creating a positive work environment. Through organizational behavior principles, administrators may better acknowledge and appreciate those around them (UNDERSTANDING AND MANAGING ORGANIZATIONAL BEHAVIOR Delta Publishing Company, 2006). For instance, most company managers are solely accountable for a group of other people’s work-related actions—their immediate assistants. The area of organizational behavior thrives with theory and analysis on each of these functions.
Executives like me may also use their expertise in organizational behavior to better understand employees’ attitudes and feelings. For instance, knowing personal needs and motivations, developing decision-making skills, how to react to and control stress, how to effectively interact with others, and how job dynamics may all be of tremendous benefit to individual managers. Studying organizational behavior will motivate me to become a more dedicated member of the company—getting along with everyone, reducing stress levels, making more successful decisions, and working well within a team. I believe organizational behavior study will also help me with all the excellent skills that I would acquire. For instance, in the event of a crisis of conflict between a client and a coffee shop attendant, Organizational Behavior would help me make a better decision to solve the problem. Therefore, Organizational Behavior is a study I would recommend to any leader because it equips one with the right skills in running a small business or even a big organization.
