Part 1: Nature
His surroundings inspired John Constable’s work at home. His landscape painting was his eventual breakthrough after his wife’s demise. Part 2: Knowledge
The works of Zorach and Orozco are different yet so similar. The two artists came from different backgrounds, inspired by various circumstances, yet they somehow came up with similarly titled art and within the same subject. Some of the common items symbolized in their two works, which include; the flag that unites all, worship, fertile land, the changes in life, and nudity. Both arts also have a common name, ‘Epic of America.’
Zorach was born in a Jewish family in the Russian empire. Later on, he and his family moved and settled in Cleveland. He studied art and finally become a professional and an art teacher. His works were in the form of sculptures, located in many museums and other institutions in the USA. The statue is a clear indication of his culture and beliefs and even his life in America. His form of art, using sculptures, was derived from his Jewish customs (Epic of America, 2009). The beliefs about Indians being the initial landowners in America, and they were all worshipers of the moon. They are derived from his life in America.
Orozco was born and raised in Mexico. He had a passion for art, but his father halted it for him to study and be an agronomist. He had a lab accident and decided to move back to his passion, art. One of the teachers in school encouraged them to use Mexican themes and creativity in their work instead of Europe’s. He developed his technique, and after being attacked in his own country, he moved to New York. Using his themes and borrowing from Mexican ideas, he became a famous painter and internationally recognized. His work informed of painting as done in Mexico. Mexican’s were mostly farmers, and therefore in his art, ‘The Epic of American Civilization’ shows cultivation as a stage in the transformation (Dartmouth digital Orozco, 2014).
Looking at the two artworks, there are notable differences between the two. Orozco’s work is to inform of paintings and comes with drafts and a storyline. The pictures continuously tell the story of the transformations. It takes place from the beginning up to when the era of the art. However, the work of Zorach informs of sculptures that tell a tale of before the golden age. There is no record of the two artists being in contact before their work on these pieces.

Part 3: Technology
Nam June Paik was an American-Korean who established and invented the use of videos as a medium of art. He developed a profound connection between art and technology in the 1960s. His invention makes his work stand out from the rest of the art in museums. He uses a fusion of colors, symbolism, and changing pictures and sound, which makes this form of art captivating (Zinman, 2018). To understand it, however, one needs to be very keen on details.
The video art seems to borrow a lot from contemporary Korean art, which based on unique color differences—being a Korean, Paik modernized contemporary art through video as a medium to create better and permanent art. Also, the videos presented a modern form of modern art that can tell a story due to the easy and fast ability to change and shift color pigments in the video. Artists have come to appreciate his work since his invention has helped them work better, faster, and do more work with the films than what actual art could do.
