There is however some evidence that the table is not a mere creation of our perception as it doesn’t disappear when we leave a room and doesn’t disappear when a cloth is placed on it. The cloth takes the shape of the table meaning it is present physically. The existence of public, neutral objects known to many people means that although people have notably different perceptions, the sense-datum has some truth in it. People have slightly different perceptions of objects, but these perceptions are more or less similar. The available variations are dependent on laws of reflections of light and perception that point more towards an object. Different people having similar sense-datum and similar sense-datum for a person at different places proves the existence of permanent public objects.
The question arises whether these people with similar perceptions exist when they are the product of our sight, hearing, and touch perceptions. These people could be existing as in our dreams and not present physically eliminating them as a testimony for existence. The search for the characteristics of the physical existence of various reliable things in the real world continues. One can only prove their existence and their experiences which might be made up like in the dreamland where we perceive things that are not present on waking up. Simplicity comes in from supposing things the way we think they happen to like seeing a cat at two different positions and assuming it moved. When we hear certain noises while other people move their lips and make facial expressions, we assume they are speaking which might be just our thoughts.
