Week 4 Case Studies
For your case study, here are some key points to remember:
1) There are case studies at the end of chapters 21, 24, 25 & 27. You need to complete two
case studies.
2) Submit one file with both case studies.
3) Each case study response should be 3-4 double spaced pages each.
4) In addition to the textbook, utilize a minimum of two scholarly sources per study to support
your points
5) Your focus should be the response to the case study questions. Do not repeat the case study
scenario nor define terms. Develop your response to the case study.
6) You need to read the textbook to grasp the key concepts before you respond to the case
study. Read every line of the case study; your response needs to focus on the case study
questions.

Patient Identity Management Assignment: I strongly encourage you to read the required articles
this week. Dont confuse patient identification with Patient identity management- they are not the
same topic.

Chapter 21: Improving the User Experience for Health Information Technology
The user experience is important both for users being able to do their job successfully
and with little to no error, as well as for technology adoption
User experience is a combination of ergonomics, human factors and usability
As an informatics professional, usability is something you will evaluate with every
